Brian Taylor is a recording, mixing, and mastering engineer with over 20 years of experience shaping the sound of film scores, television series, games, and records.

His recent credits include Ariel Marx’s Emmy-nominated scores for Black Mirror: Hotel Reverie (Netflix) and A Small Light (Disney), as well as projects like Metal Gear Solid: Snake Eater, Final Fantasy, The Exorcist: Believer, and AMC’s The Walking Dead: Dead City. He has also contributed to Emmy- and Oscar-winning productions including Dexter, Arrested Development, Zootopia, Secrets of the Elephants (James Cameron), and Disney’s Madu - building a track record of work that resonates with both audiences and awards committees.

Equally specialized in recording orchestras, bands, vocalists and mixing scores, Brian also brings his expertise to original songs for projects such as Castlevania, No Good Deed, Virgin River, and The Brothers Sun. Beyond mixing, he provides soundtrack mastering for Hollywood Records, Lakeshore Records, and Netflix.

As a trusted collaborator for Netflix’s Music Lab and Soundtrack departments, and go-to engineer for score production team Joy Music House, Brian has extensive experience leading large-scale and high-profile sessions in Hollywood’s top recording studios and scoring stages.

He also shares his knowledge leading mix seminars for NYU Steinhardt’s graduate program and through international score production workshops with Joy Music House, where he helps train the next generation of composers, engineers, and assistants.
